Jessica Greenfield

Jessica joined QMS in January 2025 as a Certified Pilates Teacher. She is from the Pacific Northwest.

She grew up swimming and enjoying sports and fitness of all kinds. During college, Jessica competed as an NCAA Division I athlete in swimming at the University of California where she studied Italian and Classics. She continued to swim on Masters Swim Teams throughout her graduate training until discovering Les Mills Body Pump, Body Combat, and Grit programs in 2013. In 2020, she became Les Mills certified in Body Pump, and quickly added certifications in Balletone, Barre, Power Sculpt, and Schwinn Indoor Cycling. Looking for additional ways to connect with people on their fitness journey, she added the ACE Personal Training and Fitness Nutrition Specialist certifications in January of 2021. Amidst a series of injuries and the desire to help family members recover from chronic pain, she discovered Pilates. Jessica completed the 600-hour Comprehensive Classical Pilates Teacher Training Program with Real Pilates in December of 2024.

Jessica’s true passion lies in connecting with individuals, building their confidence, and watching them become their best self through positive health outcomes, increased confidence, and goal achievement. 

 

Shelly Ruggiano

Shelly is the owner of Quantum Movement Studio, which she founded in 2019. She is from Midland, Texas.

Shelly has been teaching Pilates and Gyrotonic for over 20 years. The majority of that time was spent at CORE Buckhead in Atlanta, GA. She then spent a year in Louisville, KY with Pilates Fit Studio before relocating with her husband to Charlottesville in December, 2018.

She has a wealth of knowledge based on numerous trainings, thousands of hours of teaching and her own personal experience with injuries and surgery. Pilates and Gyrotonic are relationship-oriented and she brings total dedication to client wellness in every session.

 

Krista Zomar

Krista joined QMS in January 2024 as a Senior Pilates Teacher. She is from Norfolk, Virginia.

Krista began studying Pilates as a young ballet student and continued to practice throughout her professional dance career. As a lifelong movement enthusiast, Krista finds Pilates to be an invaluable tool toward achieving a stronger, more balanced body.

In 2006, she received her comprehensive Classical teaching certification and has participated in multiple continuing education courses with Shari Berkowitz, focusing on anatomy and proper bio-mechanics. Over the course of 18 years of teaching Krista has gained experience working with a range of populations including professional dancers, individuals overcoming mobility challenges, and clients looking for an engaging mind-body workout.

She is passionate about sharing the joy and tremendous benefits movement can provide to people of all ages and abilities. Krista teaches with an eye for detail and offers clear instruction for a challenging, refined workout.
